What This Skill Does
Connects to SharePoint document libraries via Microsoft Graph API using certificate-based authentication. Reads and writes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files by extracting text suitable for AI processing. Access is scoped to a single SharePoint site using the Sites.Selected permission.
Certificate auth with Sites.Selected permission avoids client secrets and limits access to one site, which satisfies typical enterprise security requirements without broad tenant-level permissions.
When to use it
- Extracting text from a SharePoint Word doc for AI summarization
- Uploading a modified Excel report back to a document library
- Searching SharePoint for files matching a keyword or topic
- Checking out a document for exclusive editing, then checking it back in
- Listing and navigating SharePoint folder contents
