What This Skill Does
Generates images via Azure OpenAI's DALL-E deployment using a Python script. Supports batch generation, multiple sizes (up to 1792x1024), HD quality, vivid or natural styles, and outputs PNG files alongside a manifest and HTML gallery.
Teams already provisioned on Azure can generate images without separate OpenAI API credentials or accounts.
When to use it
- Creating header images for blog posts
- Batch generating social media graphics
- Producing illustration sets for documentation
- Prototyping marketing visuals before a designer is involved
- Generating cost- or process-themed diagrams for technical articles
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Generate 4 HD blog headers for a cloud migration article
- 1Reads AZURE_OPENAI_ENDPOINT, AZURE_OPENAI_API_KEY, and AZURE_OPENAI_DALLE_DEPLOYMENT from environment
- 2Runs generate.py with --prompt, --count 4, and --quality hd flags
- 3Calls the Azure OpenAI DALL-E API for each image in sequence
- 4Saves PNG files to the output directory and writes manifest.json with prompt-to-file mappings
- 5Generates index.html for local gallery preview
4 PNG images, a manifest.json, and an index.html gallery saved to the output directory
