Version History
Fix: Fixed gemini CLI stdin consumption bug that prevented processing all emails. Now processes all emails correctly. Also fixed subject line quote stripping and event counter syntax errors.
What This Skill Does
Runs at 8am daily to pull important and starred emails from Gmail and today's events from Google Calendar. Each email gets a one-sentence AI summary via Gemini CLI, then the full digest is sent to Telegram. Schedule, email count, search filters, and summary style are all configurable.
Combines inbox triage, calendar context, and AI summarization into a single Telegram message delivered before the workday starts, without requiring manual inbox checking.
When to use it
- Starting the workday without opening Gmail
- Getting AI summaries of overnight client emails before a morning standup
- Reviewing today's calendar alongside flagged messages in one place
- Catching starred emails from multiple senders at a glance
- Building a daily log of important email activity
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: What important emails and meetings do I have today?
- 1Queries Google Calendar via gog for today's events
- 2Searches Gmail for emails matching 'is:important OR is:starred newer_than:1d'
- 3Fetches sender, subject, and body for each matched email
- 4Passes each body to Gemini CLI for a one-sentence natural language summary
- 5Formats results with read/unread indicators and sends to Telegram
A Telegram message listing today's calendar events followed by up to 20 summarized emails, each showing sender, subject, read status, and an AI-generated one-sentence summary
