Version History
Initial public release - Gentle reminders to stay human while using AI
What This Skill Does
Weekly reflection questions rotate over seven weeks, prompting users to examine their reliance on AI. Optional nudges appear when queries touch on health, finances, or relationships. Occasional quotes reinforce the theme of staying mentally engaged.
It places the reflection prompt inside the tool where over-reliance actually happens, rather than relying on a separate habit app the user may ignore.
When to use it
- Weekly Sunday prompt to reflect on decisions you made without AI that week
- Gentle reminder before acting on AI advice about a medical symptom
- Pause when asking AI to resolve a conflict with a friend or partner
- Check-in question about which everyday skills you could manage without AI
- Nudge to reconsider what you personally want before optimizing a financial choice
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: 'Should I switch to a high-deductible health plan or stay on my current plan?'
- 1Detects the query involves health or finances
- 2Provides relevant information about the trade-offs between plan types
- 3Appends the boundary nudge acknowledging this is an area where personal judgment matters
- 4Asks what information would help the user make their own decision
A summary of plan trade-offs followed by: 'This touches on health and finances - an area where your own judgment often matters more than optimization. I can help you gather information to make YOUR decision. What would be most helpful?'
