What This Skill Does
Scans a branch diff for AI-generated noise, such as unnecessary defensive checks, redundant type casts, lint suppressions, and placeholder comments, then removes only what contradicts local code style. It compares each candidate against surrounding patterns before deleting anything and verifies the build passes afterward.
Unlike a manual grep-and-delete pass, it checks each candidate against local file context before removing it, so legitimate domain guards at trust boundaries are preserved.
When to use it
- Stripping verbose null checks from AI-generated code before a PR review
- Removing defensive try/catch blocks that don't match the project's error handling style
- Deleting redundant type casts inserted by a code generation tool
- Clearing out TODO and placeholder comments left over from AI scaffolding
- Removing lint-disable comments added defensively by AI assistants
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: remove the AI slop from my feature branch before I open a PR
- 1Runs git diff main...HEAD to inspect all lines added on the branch
- 2Uses rg to build a candidate list of comments, casts, lint ignores, and defensive checks
- 3Reviews each candidate in full file context against nearby local patterns
- 4Removes only items inconsistent with local style, preserving behavior and boundary guards
- 5Runs project checks and reports exactly what was removed and what was intentionally kept
