Version History
x-to-kindle 0.1.1 Changelog - Initial release: Send X/Twitter posts and threads to Kindle devices for distraction-free reading. - Fetches tweet content via fxtwitter API and formats as Kindle-compatible HTML attachment. - Supports sending via Gmail SMTP with configurable variables for ease of setup. - Includes example workflow and configuration instructions for rapid deployment.
What This Skill Does
Converts X/Twitter posts into HTML documents and delivers them to a Kindle device via email. Fetches tweet content using the fxtwitter API, formats it for readability, and sends it as an attachment to the Kindle's personal document address.
Kindle's e-ink display and lack of notifications make it easier to read long threads than scrolling through the Twitter app.
When to use it
- Sending a long tweet thread to Kindle before a flight
- Reading a viral discussion without opening the Twitter app
- Archiving a notable tweet to your Kindle library
- Catching up on saved tweets during a commute without a backlit screen
- Forwarding a thread someone shared in chat to read later
