What This Skill Does

Connects to global DX cluster networks via telnet to fetch live amateur radio spots. Filters for rare prefixes, tracks active expeditions, and generates band activity digests. Runs on-demand or automated via cron.

Automates cluster polling and rare-prefix filtering without requiring manual telnet sessions or dedicated logging software.

When to use it

  • Checking if a rare prefix like VP8 or P5 is currently active
  • Getting a morning band summary before an operating session
  • Setting up cron alerts for new DX spots every 5 minutes
  • Finding which frequencies are busy on a specific band
  • Tracking a DX expedition to a rare DXCC entity

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT
