What This Skill Does
Handles hotel search, shortlist comparison, and booking handoff via the ai-go-hotel MCP server. Extracts stay details from user input, queries live hotel data with tag-based filters, and returns a ranked set of options with room details, pricing, and next steps. Outputs are structured for direct booking decisions, not further research.
Unlike general search, it combines tag-based filtering, live room-rate enrichment, and a constrained shortlist in one structured flow, so users get a booking-ready comparison instead of a raw list.
When to use it
- Finding hotels near a train station for a same-week business trip
- Comparing family-friendly hotels in a city by budget and amenities
- Shortlisting options with free breakfast and flexible cancellation
- Planning a multi-night stay near a specific attraction or airport
- Getting room-level pricing and policy before committing to a booking
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Find me 3 hotels in Tokyo near Shinjuku station for 2 adults, 3 nights from March 20, budget around $150/night
- 1Call getHotelSearchTags once to retrieve valid tag taxonomy for filters
- 2Call searchHotels with place=Shinjuku, placeType=火车站, checkInDate=2026-03-20, stayNights=3, adultCount=2, size=10, budget constraints applied
- 3Narrow results to top 3 candidates by price, distance, and star rating
- 4Call getHotelDetail for each finalist to retrieve room plans, cancellation policy, and breakfast inclusion
- 5Return recommended option plus two alternatives with trade-offs and booking confirmation steps
Ranked shortlist of 3 hotels with nightly price, room highlights, cancellation terms, and a 2-4 item checklist of what to confirm before booking
