Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Makes phone calls via Twilio's Voice API and reads a text message aloud to the recipient. Designed for programmatic alerts where a phone call is more urgent than a notification. Configured once with credentials, then callable with a single command or natural language instruction.
Calling someone guarantees attention in a way that emails or push notifications don't, especially for critical alerts at odd hours.
When to use it
- Alert on-call engineer when a server goes down
- Notify yourself of a security breach while away from your desk
- Send a voice reminder for a time-sensitive task
- Trigger an emergency call from an automated monitoring script
- Wake someone up with a critical system alert
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: "Call me: Database is unreachable"
- 1Read Twilio credentials from config/twilio.json
- 2Construct a TwiML voice message with the provided text
- 3Send a POST request to the Twilio Voice API with the from/to numbers and message
- 4Poll or wait for call status confirmation
Twilio places a call to the configured number and reads "Database is unreachable" aloud
