Setup & Installation

npx clawhub install arcane-docker-manager

What This Skill Does

Connects to the Arcane Docker Management API to control containers, Compose stacks, images, networks, volumes, and users. Arcane is a self-hosted Docker management platform exposing a REST API on a configurable base URL.

Arcane's REST API lets agents perform any Docker operation programmatically without requiring Docker CLI access or SSH on the host.

When to use it

  • Restarting a crashed container without opening a terminal
  • Deploying a new Compose stack from a saved template
  • Pulling updated images and restarting affected stacks
  • Pruning unused images and volumes to free disk space
  • Checking CPU and memory stats across all running containers

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: deploy my nginx template with version 1.25 on port 8080

AGENT
  1. 1Authenticate against the Arcane API to obtain a Bearer token
  2. 2List available templates to locate the nginx template ID
  3. 3POST to /stacks with the template ID and env vars VERSION=1.25, PORT=8080
  4. 4Poll GET /stacks/{id}/logs to confirm the stack started cleanly
  5. 5Return the stack ID and deployment status to the user
OUTPUT

Stack 'nginx-stack' deployed successfully, running on port 8080
