What This Skill Does
Enables AI agents to rent or provide Venice API inference capacity through a USDC escrow system on Base. Providers list capped API keys with pricing; agents fund rentals on-chain and receive keys automatically. Settlement happens at term expiration with a 1% protocol fee.
Compared to direct API key sharing, escrow-based rental enforces payment and expiry on-chain without trusting counterparties.
When to use it
- Renting idle Venice API capacity for a short-term agent task
- Listing spare inference API keys to earn USDC passively
- Automating API key retrieval after on-chain escrow funding
- Checking available inference listings before starting a batch job
- Settling expired rentals to collect provider earnings
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: rent the cheapest available Venice API listing for 7 days
- 1Call GET /api/listings to fetch available listings
- 2Select listing with lowest pricePerDay
- 3Approve USDC spend and call contract.fund(listingId, 7, diemAmount) to get rentalId
- 4POST to /api/key/{rentalId} with EIP-191 signed message to retrieve the API key
- 5Return apiKey and expiresAt to the user
Venice API key valid for 7 days, ready for inference requests
