Version History

v1.0.1Feb 23, 2026 - Version note by skill developer:

- Clarified runtime requirements in SKILL.md, specifying the need for bash, curl, and jq. - Updated auth command: access tokens are only printed if --show-token is used.

What This Skill Does

Manages Wallabag bookmarks via the Wallabag Developer API using OAuth2. Supports creating, reading, updating, deleting, searching, and tagging entries through shell commands.

Exposes the full Wallabag API through a single shell script, so any automation or agent can manage bookmarks without a browser or GUI.

When to use it

  • Save a URL to Wallabag with tags from the command line
  • List all starred entries filtered by a specific tag
  • Remove a tag from a bookmark entry
  • Search saved articles by keyword
  • Archive or star entries in bulk

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Save https://example.com/article with tags 'ai,read-later' and then list all entries tagged 'ai'

AGENT
  1. 1Run auth to verify OAuth credentials
  2. 2Run create --url https://example.com/article --tags 'ai,read-later' to save the bookmark
  3. 3Run list --tag ai to retrieve all entries tagged 'ai'
  4. 4Return the JSON list of matching entries
OUTPUT

A JSON array of Wallabag entries tagged 'ai', including the newly created entry
