Auto-save to ClawVault on stop (🐘 emoji confirms). Use --no-vault to skip.

What This Skill Does

CLI task timer for AI agents that tracks time spent on tasks, saves logs automatically, and generates reports with visualizations. Integrates with ClawVault to persist task history as agent memory.

Combines timing, categorized history, and memory persistence in one tool instead of juggling separate timer, log, and sync workflows.

When to use it

  • Benchmarking how long similar coding tasks take across sessions
  • Tracking time allocation by category over a week
  • Adding current task status to shell prompt
  • Searching past task notes to recall how something was done
  • Syncing completed task logs to persistent agent memory

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Start timing an auth implementation task, stop when done, and sync to memory

AGENT
  1. 1Run `tasktime start "Implement OAuth flow" -c auth` to begin the timer
  2. 2Do the work, then run `tasktime stop --notes "Used passport.js"` to stop and auto-save to ClawVault
  3. 3Run `tasktime sync` to push the full report to ClawVault
  4. 4Run `tasktime report --days 7` to review recent time allocation by category
OUTPUT

Task logged to ~/.tasktime/tasks.json and synced to ClawVault with duration, notes, and category
