What This Skill Does
Monitors Google Calendar for upcoming meetings and pulls GitHub commit history to generate standup-ready updates. Runs on a cron schedule, alerting before meetings and compiling end-of-day summaries across all developers and repos.
Combines calendar awareness with commit history so updates are generated automatically rather than assembled by hand before each meeting.
When to use it
- Generating a standup update 15 minutes before a daily scrum
- Reviewing all team commits across repos at end of day
- Getting notified when a Google Meet is about to start
- Compiling a weekly commit digest grouped by repo and author
- Preparing a concise update without manually checking git log
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: prepare my standup update for the 10am meeting
- 1Check Google Calendar for events in the next 45 minutes with Google Meet links
- 2Prompt user for the last update time and which repos to check
- 3Fetch recent commits from configured GitHub repos since the last update
- 4Group commits by repo and subdirectory, summarize with author names
- 5Format output as plain text ready to paste into standup
Plain text update listing repo changes by subdirectory with author attribution, plus Today/Blockers/Discussion sections
