What This Skill Does
Finds safety-relevant locations near any coordinates, including 24-hour businesses, transit stations, police stations, hospitals, and pharmacies. Returns structured results with a descriptive summary of the area's late-night safety resources. Requires a Camino API key, with a free trial available.
Returns structured, location-aware safety data in a single API call rather than requiring manual searches across multiple map or directory services.
When to use it
- Checking safety resources near a hotel before a late arrival
- Identifying open businesses and emergency services along a walking route at night
- Assessing an unfamiliar neighborhood before visiting after dark
- Locating the nearest hospital or police station while traveling
- Evaluating transit stop surroundings before using late-night public transit
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: What safety resources are near my hotel at 40.7506, -73.9935 late at night?
- 1Receives coordinates and optional radius from the user
- 2Calls the Camino API context endpoint with the location and a late-night safety context string
- 3Parses the response for hospitals, police stations, transit stops, 24-hour businesses, and pharmacies
- 4Formats the area_description and relevant_places into a readable summary
A breakdown of nearby safety resources including hospital names and distances, police station locations, open transit options, and 24-hour businesses within 500 meters
