What This Skill Does

Runs structured body doubling sessions for ADHD focus, with micro-step task initiation, timed check-ins, and session history tracking. Pushes back on vague answers and breaks blocked tasks into smaller entry points. Sessions are logged locally to surface patterns over time.

Unlike passive timers, it actively questions vague progress reports and breaks down blockers into specific micro-steps rather than leaving the user to figure out next actions alone.

When to use it

  • Starting a work task you've been avoiding all morning
  • Running a 25-minute focused sprint on a client deliverable
  • Getting unstuck when a project feels too overwhelming to begin
  • Tracking which times of day you complete sessions most reliably
  • Resetting focus mid-session after losing momentum

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: /body-doubling start 25

AGENT
  1. 1Asks what the user is working on
  2. 2Asks for the first micro-step, something completable in under 2 minutes
  3. 3Pushes the user to shrink that step to its smallest possible version
  4. 4Starts the timer and schedules a check-in at 15 minutes
  5. 5At check-in, asks for specific progress and surfaces any blockers
OUTPUT

User completes a micro-step with a session log saved to ~/.openclaw/skills/adhd-body-doubling/history/
