Setup & Installation

Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:

npx clawhub install devialet

What This Skill Does

Controls Devialet Phantom and Mania speakers over a local network via HTTP API. Supports play/pause, volume, mute, source selection, and status queries. Optionally integrates with Spotify Connect for track search and playback.

Enables direct local-network control without the Devialet app, and supports scripting and automation that the official app does not expose.

When to use it

  • Playing a specific song on a Devialet speaker by name
  • Adjusting speaker volume from the command line
  • Pausing or resuming playback without touching the app
  • Checking what track is currently playing
  • Muting the speaker during a call

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Play Drake - God's Plan on my speaker

AGENT
  1. 1Reads DEVIALET_IP from environment or TOOLS.md
  2. 2Runs play-on-devialet.sh with the track name
  3. 3Script searches for the track via Spotify desktop app over D-Bus/MPRIS
  4. 4Opens the Spotify URI to begin playback on the speaker
  5. 5Spotify Connect streams audio to the Devialet device
OUTPUT

Track begins playing on the Devialet speaker via Spotify Connect
