Version History

v1.0.1Jan 23, 2026 - Version note by skill developer:

- Added a new README.md file for improved project documentation. - Updated version to 1.0.1.

What This Skill Does

Sends push notifications to a self-hosted Gotify server from within agent workflows. Supports titles, priority levels (0-10), and markdown-formatted messages. Useful for getting alerts on task completion without watching a terminal.

Gotify is self-hosted, so notifications stay on your own infrastructure without relying on third-party push services or exposing data to external APIs.

When to use it

  • Get notified when a long deploy finishes
  • Alert on critical script failure with high priority
  • Send a daily system status summary to your phone
  • Notify yourself when a background research session completes
  • Push a markdown-formatted build report after CI runs

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: notify me when the deploy finishes

AGENT
  1. 1Appends `&& bash scripts/send.sh` call to the deploy command
  2. 2Sets --title to 'Deploy Complete' and --message with relevant status
  3. 3Optionally sets --priority based on urgency
  4. 4Runs the deploy, then executes the notification script
  5. 5Confirms success by checking the JSON response for a message ID
OUTPUT

Push notification delivered to the user's Gotify client with deploy status
