Version History

v1.0.1Jan 23, 2026 - Version note by skill developer:

- Added a new README.md file with documentation. - Updated SKILL.md to increment version to 1.0.1. - No functional changes to code or features.

What This Skill Does

Queries and monitors a local UniFi network through the UniFi OS gateway API. Supports read-only access to devices, active clients, network health, DPI traffic data, and recent alerts. Tested on Cloud Gateway Max.

Pulls live data directly from the local UniFi OS API without requiring Ubiquiti cloud access or the web UI.

When to use it

  • Checking which devices are currently connected to the network
  • Identifying which apps are consuming the most bandwidth
  • Reviewing recent network alerts and alarms
  • Getting a full network health summary in one command
  • Listing all APs, switches, and gateway status

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: What's using the most bandwidth on my network?

AGENT
  1. 1Read credentials from ~/.clawdbot/credentials/unifi/config.json
  2. 2Authenticate against the local UniFi OS gateway
  3. 3Run scripts/top-apps.sh to query DPI traffic data
  4. 4Parse and format application bandwidth usage
  5. 5Present ranked list of top applications with RX/TX totals
OUTPUT

Table showing top 10 applications by total traffic, with category, RX, TX, and combined bandwidth in GB
