Documentation: update cron message to match default OpenClaw's skill usage message for reliability
What This Skill Does
Assembles a morning or evening briefing by pulling from three companion skills: calendar events, active todos, and weather forecast. Decides whether to cover today or tomorrow based on current time. Each source is optional and skipped if the companion skill is unavailable.
Aggregates calendar, tasks, and weather into one structured message instead of querying three separate tools manually.
When to use it
- Check what's on the schedule before starting work
- Review pending tasks alongside tomorrow's weather
- Get a quick text summary before a commute
- Catch upcoming events after a late evening
- Combine scattered daily info into one skimmable message
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Give me my daily briefing
- 1Check current time to determine if briefing covers today or tomorrow
- 2Read each available companion skill's SKILL.md before invoking it
- 3Fetch calendar agenda for the briefing day via gcalcli-calendar
- 4List active todos via todo-management
- 5Retrieve weather forecast for the user's configured city via openmeteo-sh-weather-simple
- 6Compose a single formatted message with sections for weather, calendar, upcoming events, and todos
Formatted briefing with date/time header, weather conditions, chronological calendar events, a short upcoming section, and active todo items
