What This Skill Does

Builds the Clawdbot macOS menu bar companion app from source, covering dependency installation, React/TypeScript UI compilation, Swift compilation, code signing, and app packaging. The resulting app manages Gateway health, native permissions (camera, screen recording, accessibility), and hardware access on Mac.

Sequences the pnpm, Vite, Swift, and codesign steps into a single script, avoiding the manual coordination normally required across Xcode and Node toolchains.

When to use it

  • Installing Clawdbot.app on a new Mac without a pre-built binary
  • Enabling screen recording or microphone access for agent tasks
  • Running the Gateway as a local launchd service on your Mac
  • Connecting a Mac to a remote Gateway over SSH or Tailscale
  • Rebuilding after a source update to pick up new features
