Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Scans live cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP and generates ready-to-use Terraform modules from discovered resources. Produces variable definitions, outputs, and documentation alongside the module code. Validates generated syntax against Terraform best practices.
Eliminates the manual reverse-engineering of live infrastructure into Terraform code, reducing the gap between what is deployed and what is declared.
When to use it
- Converting an existing AWS VPC setup into a reusable Terraform module
- Capturing GCP Cloud SQL configurations as versioned infrastructure code
- Onboarding legacy Azure resources into a Terraform-managed workflow
- Generating module scaffolding for EC2 instances before a migration
- Creating Terraform modules from deployed networking resources without manual inspection
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Generate a Terraform module from my existing AWS EC2 instances in us-east-1
- 1Reads AWS credentials from the configured CLI profile
- 2Runs the AWS scanner to discover EC2 instances and their attributes in the target region
- 3Passes discovered resource data to the Terraform generator to produce module code with variables and outputs
- 4Validates the generated HCL syntax and checks against Terraform best practices
- 5Writes the final module files and usage documentation to the output directory
A complete Terraform module directory with main.tf, variables.tf, outputs.tf, and README.md representing the discovered EC2 instances
