Address scanner concerns: added privacy/transparency notice, documented silent vs notification mode, added homepage and author, clarified runtime enforcement vs skill claims
What This Skill Does
Runs on a schedule in the main session to review conversation history and write memory files. Uses a dual-layer system: daily notes for raw context and a curated MEMORY.md for long-term retention. Operates silently by default, with an opt-in notification mode.
Automates memory capture on a schedule so context persists across sessions without the user having to manually write anything down.
When to use it
- Preserving decisions made during a long coding session
- Remembering user preferences expressed across multiple days
- Tracking project status updates without manual note-taking
- Capturing lessons learned after debugging a tricky problem
- Maintaining continuity when returning to a project after a break
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: automatically save what we discussed today
- 1Cron fires at scheduled interval (e.g. 21:00)
- 2Reviews recent conversation for decisions, preferences, and project updates
- 3Writes raw notes to memory/2026-03-14.md organized by topic
- 4Checks if anything is significant enough for long-term retention
- 5Updates MEMORY.md with distilled insights if warranted, skips silently if nothing notable
memory/2026-03-14.md created with today's notes; MEMORY.md updated with any long-term context
