Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Factory AI's droid CLI is a command-line agent for software engineering tasks. It runs in interactive or exec mode, supports session resumption, and connects to MCP servers and plugins for extended capabilities.
Unlike general-purpose AI chat tools, droid maintains session context, understands your org's full codebase, and executes actions directly rather than just suggesting them.
When to use it
- Fix a bug by pasting the error into droid exec
- Generate a commit message for staged changes
- Create a pull request from the CLI
- Add a new feature page with a single command
- Deploy an app to Fly.io without leaving the terminal
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: implement a user settings page with dark mode toggle
- 1Runs `droid exec "add a user settings page with dark mode toggle"`
- 2Droid reads the existing codebase structure
- 3Generates new component files and wires up dark mode state
- 4Presents diff for confirmation or auto-applies with --force
New settings page committed to the repo with dark mode toggle working
