What This Skill Does
Queries the Deutsche Bahn REST API to plan train journeys across Germany and Europe. Covers all transport modes including ICE, regional trains, S-Bahn, U-Bahn, trams, buses, and ferries, with real-time delay data. No API key needed.
Uses a free, no-auth public API with a self-contained Python CLI, so no account setup or credentials are needed to get real-time German rail data.
When to use it
- Check next trains from Berlin Hbf to Munich
- Find S-Bahn departures near a Hamburg address
- Plan a cross-border trip from Cologne to Amsterdam
- Get live arrival board for Frankfurt airport
- Look up station IDs before scripting a commute tracker
