What This Skill Does
API gateway that sits between AI agents and personal services like GitHub, Google Calendar, and Home Assistant. Read operations execute immediately; write operations enter an approval queue requiring human sign-off before they run. Bypass mode lets trusted agents skip the queue.
Unlike giving agents direct API credentials, agentgate keeps credentials on a separate machine and enforces human approval on all writes, so agents can never act destructively without your explicit sign-off.
When to use it
- Reviewing and approving a calendar event before an agent creates it
- Letting an agent read GitHub issues without any manual step
- Posting to Bluesky only after you approve the draft
- Coordinating two agents working on the same task via inter-agent messaging
- Storing notes between sessions so the agent remembers context next time
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: create a GitHub issue summarizing today's open pull requests
- 1Call GET /api/agent_start_here to confirm GitHub is configured
- 2Call GET /api/github/{account}/pulls to fetch open pull requests
- 3Submit a POST to /api/queue/github/{account}/submit with the issue payload and a comment explaining intent
- 4Poll GET /api/queue/github/{account}/status/{id} until status reaches pending_approval
- 5Wait for human approval; once status is completed, confirm the issue was created
GitHub issue created after human approved the queued write request
