What This Skill Does
Controls Multilogin X anti-detect browser profiles through the xcli CLI and mlx-launcher daemon. Supports launching disposable quick profiles, managing persistent profiles, and handling headless or GUI environments across Linux, macOS, and Windows.
Gives agents direct CLI control over Multilogin X without requiring a GUI or manual dashboard interaction, making it practical for unattended VPS automation.
When to use it
- Running multiple browser identities for web scraping automation
- Testing geo-restricted content with different browser fingerprints
- Managing dozens of persistent accounts without cross-contamination
- Spinning up disposable headless profiles for CI pipeline tasks
- Delegating visible browser sessions from a VPS to a local Mac
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: launch two headless profiles for Puppeteer automation on a Linux VPS
- 1Start the launcher with mlx-launcher -port 45000 & and wait 5 seconds
- 2Verify the launcher is active with xcli launcher-info
- 3Log in with xcli login --username and --password
- 4Launch first quick profile with --browser-type mimic --os-type linux --automation puppeteer --headless
- 5Launch second quick profile with the same flags, collect returned profile IDs and ports
Two disposable headless browser profiles running, each with a local port ready for Puppeteer to connect
