What This Skill Does

Posts to X (Twitter) using OAuth 1.0a credentials directly against the X API v2. Supports single tweets, threads, replies, quote tweets, and account lookups on the free tier. Search, mentions, and media uploads require a paid X API tier.

Uses your own X API credentials directly with no proxy or third-party service in the middle, so rate limits and permissions are fully under your control.

When to use it

  • Posting a tweet from an automated agent
  • Creating a multi-part thread from a script
  • Replying to a specific tweet by ID
  • Checking your account info and user ID
  • Deleting a tweet you previously posted

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: 'Post a 3-tweet thread about my new project launch'

AGENT
  1. 1Parse the message into three tweet-sized segments
  2. 2Call `x thread` with all three segments as arguments
  3. 3Sign the requests automatically using OAuth 1.0a credentials from environment variables
  4. 4Post the thread to X API v2
OUTPUT

A 3-tweet thread posted to the user's X account
