What This Skill Does
Fetches crypto market data from the CoinGecko free API, including prices, 24h changes, market caps, and volume. Supports thousands of coins by slug ID and token lookups by contract address on Solana and Ethereum. No API key required.
No API key or account is needed, so it works out of the box without any setup friction.
When to use it
- Check BTC or ETH price before a trade
- Look up an obscure altcoin by ticker symbol
- Find a Solana token's price using its contract address
- See what coins are trending on CoinGecko right now
- Get market cap and volume data for a portfolio review
