What This Skill Does
A skeleton skill that provides structural parity with queue-driven workflow orchestration. It emulates lifecycle behavior (session orient, write-time validation, session capture) in-skill without real hook execution. Manages phase sequencing and persisted queue state across sessions.
Enforces deterministic state transitions and resumability without requiring external plugin infrastructure or live hook execution.
When to use it
- Resuming an interrupted batch job from a persisted queue file
- Passing work between agent sessions using the --handoff flag
- Running a target file through a fixed extract-to-verify phase sequence
- Processing a batch by ID across multiple phases without losing state
- Validating queue structure before any state transitions begin
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: process inbox/draft.md --type extract --batch b42
- 1Parse positional target and flags: target=inbox/draft.md, type=extract, batch=b42
- 2Load runtime context from ops/derivation-manifest.md and ops/config.yaml if present
- 3Locate queue file using fallback order: queue.yaml -> queue.yml -> queue.json
- 4Validate queue structure and confirm current state allows transition to extract
- 5Execute extract phase and update queue state; write persisted artifacts to ops/
Queue state updated to extract->done for batch b42; ops/derivation.md written with extraction output
