What This Skill Does

Connects to the LI.FI protocol API to find and execute token swaps and cross-chain transfers across 35+ blockchains. Handles quote fetching, route comparison across bridges and DEXes, and returns transaction data ready to sign. Also supports multi-step DeFi compositions (zaps) and transfer status tracking.

Aggregates dozens of bridges and DEXes in a single API call, so finding the best cross-chain route does not require checking each protocol manually.

When to use it

  • Bridge ETH from Ethereum to Polygon
  • Find the cheapest route for a cross-chain token swap
  • Track a pending cross-chain transfer by transaction hash
  • Compare bridge options by cost, speed, and estimated output
  • Bridge and deposit into a DeFi protocol in one transaction

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: bridge 1.5 ETH from Ethereum to USDC on Polygon

AGENT
  1. 1Look up USDC token details on Polygon to get its contract address and decimal places
  2. 2Convert 1.5 ETH to wei: 1500000000000000000
  3. 3Call GET /v1/quote with fromChain=1, toChain=137, native ETH as fromToken, USDC as toToken, and amount in wei
  4. 4Present a summary showing estimated USDC output, bridge route, fees, slippage, and estimated time
  5. 5Return the transactionRequest object for the user's wallet to sign
OUTPUT

Transaction data for a Stargate bridge route delivering approximately 2,850 USDC to the user's Polygon wallet in about 2 minutes
