What This Skill Does
bun-do is a local-first task manager with a REST API running at localhost:8000. The skill maps natural language requests to API calls for creating, editing, and deleting tasks and subtasks, tracking recurring payments, and logging project progress. All data stays on disk.
Keeps all task data local with no account, cloud sync, or third-party service required.
When to use it
- Adding a recurring monthly bill with amount and due date
- Checking what tasks are overdue at the start of the day
- Logging progress notes on an active project after finishing work
- Creating a P0 deadline task for a time-sensitive obligation
- Breaking a large task into subtasks and tracking each step
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

- 1Verify bun-do server is running at http://localhost:8000
- 2Resolve 'March 30' to '2026-03-30'
- 3POST to /api/tasks with title 'Renew passport', date '2026-03-30', priority 'P1', and yearly recurrence on month 3 day 30
- 4Confirm the created task from the API response
Task 'Renew passport' created with P1 priority, due 2026-03-30, recurring yearly
