Fix: output truncation bug silently cut large API responses at 2000 characters, breaking JSON parsing on endpoints that return many results (e.g. Finnhub news feed)
What This Skill Does
Jentic is an AI agent API middleware that provides access to a large catalog of external APIs through a single interface. Authentication is managed in the Jentic platform, so per-API credentials are never embedded in the agent. The interaction follows three steps: search by intent, load the operation schema, then execute.
A single Jentic key replaces per-API credential management across dozens of services, so API secrets are never exposed in agent context or prompts.
When to use it
- Sending an email through Gmail without storing Gmail credentials in the agent
- Creating a GitHub issue from a parsed bug report
- Scheduling a meeting on Google Calendar
- Charging a customer through Stripe
- Sending an SMS alert via Twilio
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Send an email to john@example.com with subject 'Meeting Tomorrow'
- 1Search Jentic catalog for 'send an email' to find matching operations
- 2Load the schema for the returned operation to inspect required inputs
- 3Execute the operation with recipient address and subject as inputs
- 4Return Jentic's confirmation response to the user
Email sent to john@example.com via Gmail through the Jentic platform
