What This Skill Does

A collection of format guidelines for writing internal communications. Covers 3P updates, newsletters, FAQ responses, status reports, leadership updates, project updates, and incident reports. Claude loads the appropriate guideline file based on the communication type requested.

Format-specific guideline files ensure each communication matches the company's expected structure, reducing back-and-forth over tone and layout.

When to use it

  • Writing a weekly 3P update for a distributed engineering team
  • Drafting a company-wide newsletter after a major product launch
  • Composing an incident report following a production outage
  • Preparing a project status summary for executive leadership
  • Answering common employee questions in a structured FAQ format

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

  1. 1Identifies the communication type as a 3P update
  2. 2Loads examples/3p-updates.md for formatting and content requirements
  3. 3Organizes provided information into Progress, Plans, and Problems sections
  4. 4Applies the tone and structure guidelines from the template
OUTPUT

A formatted 3P update with distinct Progress, Plans, and Problems sections ready to send to the team
