What This Skill Does
Generates freelance contracts, statements of work, NDAs, and retainer agreements as Markdown and print-ready HTML files. Takes a contract type and project description as arguments and fills in standard sections covering scope, payment, IP, revisions, and termination.
Produces structured contract templates with scope, payment milestones, IP transfer, and termination clauses in one command, faster than assembling from blank documents.
When to use it
- Drafting a fixed-price agreement before starting a website redesign
- Creating a mutual NDA before sharing details with a potential client
- Setting up a monthly retainer contract for ongoing development work
- Generating a statement of work for a multi-phase mobile app project
- Writing an hourly agreement for an open-ended consulting engagement
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: /contract-generator service "Website redesign for Acme Corp, $5,000 fixed, 6 weeks, 2 revision rounds"
- 1Parses contract type (service) and project description from arguments
- 2Fills in scope, deliverables, payment schedule, and revision policy sections
- 3Generates a formatted Markdown version of the agreement
- 4Generates a print-ready HTML version with signature lines and page break hints
- 5Saves both files to output/contracts/ with client name and date in the filename
Two files saved: output/contracts/service-acme-corp-[date].md and output/contracts/service-acme-corp-[date].html
