Setup & Installation
Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Backs up and restores ClawdBot configuration from ~/.claude, including skills, commands, settings, and MCP configs. Supports git-based version control, multi-device sync via rsync or cloud folders, and scheduled automation via cron, systemd, or launchd.
Combines timestamped archives, git version history, and sync scripts in one workflow so configuration is recoverable from corruption, accidental deletion, or hardware failure without relying on a single backup method.
When to use it
- Backing up all skills and settings before a major ClawdBot update
- Migrating configuration to a new laptop without manual file copying
- Syncing custom skills between a work machine and a home machine
- Rolling back to a previous skill state after an accidental edit
- Automating daily backups on a schedule with cron
