What This Skill Does

Automates Airtable operations through Composio's Airtable toolkit via Rube MCP. Covers record CRUD, schema inspection, formula-based filtering, field management, and comments. Always searches tools first to get current schemas before running any workflow.

Handles Airtable auth, batch limits, pagination cursors, and rate limiting through a single MCP endpoint without requiring direct API key management.

When to use it

  • Bulk importing rows from an external dataset into an Airtable base
  • Filtering task records by due date or status using Airtable formulas
  • Adding or renaming fields on an existing table
  • Paginating through large record sets to process every row
  • Reading comments on specific records

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Add 5 new project entries to my Tasks table

AGENT
  1. 1Calls RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS to retrieve current tool schemas
  2. 2Calls AIRTABLE_LIST_BASES to identify the target base ID
  3. 3Calls AIRTABLE_GET_BASE_SCHEMA to verify field names and types
  4. 4Calls AIRTABLE_CREATE_RECORDS with all 5 records in a single request
OUTPUT

5 records created in the Tasks table, each confirmed with a record ID starting with 'rec'
