Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Gives an AI agent programmatic access to a user's Gmail account via the Reasonlayer API. Supports sending emails, fetching inbox messages, and reading individual messages or full email threads.
Handles Gmail OAuth authorization and credential management automatically, so the agent can access email without manual API key setup beyond a one-time user consent click.
When to use it
- Sending a follow-up email on the user's behalf
- Checking inbox for recent unread messages
- Reading a full email thread to gather conversation context
- Summarizing the latest inbox messages on request
- Sending meeting confirmations or scheduled replies
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: What are my 5 most recent emails?
- 1Checks ~/.reasonlayer/credentials for an existing API key
- 2Registers a new agent via POST /signup if no key exists and saves the returned key
- 3Requests Gmail OAuth connection via POST /connect and sends the auth URL to the user
- 4Polls /connect/<id>/status every 5 seconds until status returns active
- 5Calls GMAIL_FETCH_EMAILS with max_results set to 5 and returns the email list
