Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Edits DOCX and PPTX files using JSON-defined rules for text replacement, highlights, strikethrough, and slide reordering. Files can be sourced from uploads, local paths, public URLs, or SFTP. Generates unified diff reports and integrates with Git for version tracking.
Edits preserve the original file formatting and produce a diff report in the same workflow, without requiring a desktop office application.
When to use it
- Updating a deadline date across an IRB or compliance document
- Rearranging presentation slides after a review meeting
- Marking contract revisions with highlights and strikethroughs
- Generating a diff report between two versions of a Word document
- Batch-replacing placeholder text in a DOCX template
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: In the uploaded contract.docx, replace 'February 28, 2026' with 'August 31, 2026', highlight the change, and show what changed
- 1Fetch the uploaded contract.docx to the workspace
- 2Create edits.json with a replacement rule using 'highlight' style
- 3Run docx_editor.py to apply edits and produce output.docx
- 4Run generate_diff.py to create a unified diff report as diff.md
- 5Commit output.docx and diff.md to the local Git repo
output.docx with the date highlighted in yellow, plus diff.md showing the exact line change in unified diff format
