Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Sends and reads SMS messages from the command line using pidge, a CLI that connects to Android SMS Gateway running on an Android device. Phone numbers must be in E.164 format. Config lives in ~/.config/pidge/config.toml with no environment variables required.
Uses an Android phone you already own as the SMS backend instead of requiring a paid SMS API subscription.
When to use it
- Send a text to a contact without touching a phone
- Check unread SMS from a terminal or script
- Get notified via text when a long-running job finishes
- Reply to an incoming message from the command line
- Confirm delivery status of a sent text
