What This Skill Does
Fetches real-time prices for a personal stock, ETF, and crypto portfolio via browser automation on Yahoo Finance. Updates a local markdown file with current values, calculates gains and losses, and flags concentration risk or rebalancing opportunities.
Gets live market data without requiring a brokerage API key or paid data subscription by automating a standard Yahoo Finance browser session.
When to use it
- Checking total portfolio value at any point during market hours
- Identifying today's top winners and losers across all holdings
- Spotting positions down more than 5% as potential averaging opportunities
- Reviewing crypto alongside stocks in a single summary
- Flagging any single position that exceeds 15% of total portfolio value
