What This Skill Does
Generates 3D models in STL format from text descriptions. An LLM (Kimi or Gemini) writes a Python/Trimesh script based on the prompt, which is then executed to produce and export the mesh. Supports boolean operations, procedural surface detail, and manifold validation for 3D printing.
Converts natural language directly to print-ready STL without requiring CAD skills or manual mesh editing.
When to use it
- Generating a 3D-printable part from a verbal description
- Rapid-prototyping architectural miniatures without CAD software
- Scheduling a daily procedural model via cron job
- Creating complex parametric shapes like gears or space structures
- Iterating on a design by refining the text prompt
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: 'Generate a ring space station with an 80mm main ring, 6 habitat modules, a central command sphere, antennas, and solar panels. Export as high-resolution STL.'
- 1Parses the description to extract shapes, dimensions, and structural details
- 2Sends an engineered prompt to the configured LLM (Kimi via OpenRouter or Gemini) requesting a Python/Trimesh script
- 3Validates the generated script for correct imports and structure
- 4Executes the script to build and concatenate mesh geometry
- 5Exports the optimized STL and reports triangle count, volume, and dimensions
STL file saved to the configured export directory, with a summary of mesh statistics
