What This Skill Does

Connects to a local MetaTrader 5 HTTP API server to analyze pair signals and place trades. Follows a three-step flow: signal check, order draft review, and explicit user confirmation before any order is submitted. Runs on Windows using PowerShell to call the local REST endpoints.

The mandatory CONFIRM ORDER step prevents accidental execution that fully automated trading scripts skip.

When to use it

  • Check a currency or stock pair signal on a specific timeframe
  • Review a full draft order before committing to any trade
  • Place a confirmed pair trade through the local MT5 server
  • Run a health check on the local trading API before a session
  • Enforce a manual approval gate before live order execution

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Check the AEP/LNT signal on M30 and prepare a trade if positive

AGENT
  1. 1Runs health check against http://127.0.0.1:8000/health and verifies ok=true
  2. 2POSTs to /pair_signal with a_symbol=AEP, b_symbol=LNT, timeframe=M30
  3. 3Interprets response and stops if signal is NO TRADE or HOLD
  4. 4POSTs to /order_draft and displays the full draft JSON to the user
  5. 5Waits for exact reply 'CONFIRM ORDER', then POSTs draft to /order_confirm and shows broker response
OUTPUT

Confirmed order response from the MT5 broker API
