v2: Enhanced SKILL.md with detailed agent workflow, cat image sending capability, and comprehensive usage examples
What This Skill Does
catime fetches AI-generated cat images created hourly using Google Gemini. Each cat has a sequential number, UTC timestamp, generation prompt, and a narrative story. Agents retrieve images by recency, number, or date and send them directly to users.
The CLI handles image discovery and returns structured, parseable output, so agents can send cat images without managing API keys or image generation pipelines directly.
When to use it
- Sending the latest AI cat image to a user on request
- Fetching today's hourly cat artwork collection
- Looking up a specific cat by its archive number
- Including a cat image with its story in a chat message
- Picking a random cat from the full gallery
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Send me a cat picture
- 1Run `catime latest` to fetch the most recent cat metadata
- 2Parse the URL from the output line starting with ` URL: `
- 3Extract cat number, timestamp, and story from the header and Story fields
- 4Send the image URL and story to the user via the message tool
