Prefer Homebrew install metadata with npm fallback for BYR CLI skill
What This Skill Does
A CLI wrapper for the BYR torrent tracker. Handles authentication via cookie import, torrent search and browsing with category filters, detail inspection, and download execution with a mandatory dry-run step. All commands output JSON envelopes.
The --json flag on every command makes output machine-readable, enabling scripted pipelines without screen scraping the BYR web UI.
When to use it
- Search BYR torrents by keyword or IMDB ID
- Import Chrome or Safari session cookies for authentication
- Browse latest uploads filtered by category or seeder state
- Inspect torrent metadata before committing to a download
- Script automated download workflows with dry-run validation
