Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Posts images to Instagram from an AI agent using a stealth browser routed through a residential proxy. Accepts local image files or HTTPS URLs with an optional caption. Caches session cookies after first login to avoid repeated authentication.
Routes through a real residential IP so Instagram treats the session as a genuine mobile device, avoiding the bot blocks that hit standard Puppeteer or API-based automation.
When to use it
- Auto-posting AI-generated images to Instagram daily
- Sharing travel photos to Instagram from an agent pipeline
- Publishing product shots with pre-written captions
- Triggering an Instagram post at the end of a content generation workflow
- Batch uploading photos with consistent hashtags
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Post this sunset photo to Instagram with caption "Golden hour 🌅"
- 1Checks for a saved session at ~/.openclaw/ig-session.json
- 2Launches stealth browser with Romanian residential IP via human-browser
- 3Logs in as a real iPhone user if no valid session exists and saves cookies
- 4Uploads the image file and submits the caption
Image posted to Instagram; session cookies saved for subsequent runs
