Setup & Installation
Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Redacts personally identifiable information from text, replacing names, phone numbers, addresses, and other sensitive data with labeled placeholders. Runs as a CLI pipeline or MCP server using the Expanso Edge binary. Can also be deployed to Expanso Cloud for job-based execution.
Runs redaction locally via Expanso Edge without sending raw sensitive data to a third-party API.
When to use it
- Sanitizing customer support tickets before sharing with external vendors
- Cleaning log files that contain real user data before shipping to analytics
- Anonymizing test datasets that include production user information
- Removing personal details from bug reports before filing in public trackers
- Scrubbing API response payloads before writing to non-secure storage
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Remove all PII from this text: 'Contact Jane Smith at jane@example.com or call 555-123-4567'
- 1Pipes input text through expanso-edge running pipeline-cli.yaml
- 2Pipeline scans text and identifies PII fields including names, emails, and phone numbers
- 3Replaces each identified field with a labeled placeholder
- 4Returns the sanitized text with all sensitive values removed
