Version History

v2.0.1Feb 16, 2026 - Version note by skill developer:

- Fixed a typo in the environment variable name; it is now consistently Myfeed_API_KEY in all setup instructions and usage examples. - Corrected example usage commands to use the proper API key environment variable casing. - No functional or code changes; documentation update only.

What This Skill Does

Manages events ("things") and groups on the My Life Feed platform via its REST API. Supports creating events with custom alarms, inviting individual contacts by phone number, and inviting entire groups.

Lets an AI agent handle MyFeed scheduling and invitations without the user opening the app.

When to use it

  • Schedule a group hangout and notify all members at once
  • Invite a friend to an event using their phone number
  • Set multiple reminders before an upcoming appointment
  • Look up a group ID to coordinate a recurring team activity
  • Create a time-sensitive event with layered alarm intervals

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Schedule a dinner with my friends group for next Friday at 7pm, with reminders 1 day and 1 hour before

AGENT
  1. 1Fetch groups list using get_groups request
  2. 2Parse response with jq to find the group whose name contains 'friends'
  3. 3Extract group_id from the result
  4. 4Convert next Friday 7pm to epoch milliseconds
  5. 5Send create_thing request with description, start_time, two alarm entries (1 day, 1 hour), and the group_id invite
OUTPUT

Event created on MyFeed with the friends group invited and two reminders set
