What This Skill Does

CLI that reads Coda.io documents and pages. Lists all docs, navigates page hierarchies, and exports content as markdown, JSON, or HTML. Credentials are stored locally after a one-time auth setup.

Outputs markdown by default, which AI agents consume directly without additional parsing or format conversion.

When to use it

  • Reading meeting notes from a Coda doc into an AI pipeline
  • Listing all workspace docs to locate a specific document
  • Exporting a product spec page as markdown for summarization
  • Navigating nested page trees to find a buried section
  • Pulling project status pages for automated reporting

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Summarize the Q1 planning document from our Coda workspace

AGENT
  1. 1Run 'coda-ai docs --compact' to list all available documents
  2. 2Identify the Q1 planning doc and note its ID
  3. 3Run 'coda-ai pages --docId <id> --compact' to list pages in the doc
  4. 4Identify the target page and note its pageId
  5. 5Run 'coda-ai read --docId <id> --pageId <pageId>' to fetch the markdown content
OUTPUT

Markdown text of the Q1 planning page, ready for summarization
