What This Skill Does
Searches the web via DuckDuckGo Lite's HTML interface using the built-in web_fetch tool. Returns titles, URLs, and snippets for any query. No API key or external packages needed.
Unlike Brave or Google search integrations, this requires zero configuration and works immediately in any environment with web_fetch available.
When to use it
- Finding current information when no search API is configured
- Falling back when Brave search returns a missing API key error
- Researching region-specific results with country filtering
- Fetching full page content after identifying relevant URLs
- Looking up exact phrases or site-specific information
Example Workflow

- 2Parse the returned text to identify numbered result entries
- 3Skip any entries marked as sponsored links
- 4Select the most relevant organic result URLs
